Shiba Inu Executive Sound Alarm on Compromised Bad Idea AI Profile
Shiba Inu (SHIB) marketing executive, LucieSHIB has warned members of the community to avoid clicking any link emanating from the X account of its partner Bad Idea AI.
As one of the frontline community liaison officers within the Shiba Inu team, sounding the alarm is a proactive way for members of the Shib Army to get a headstart about falling for scams.
The compromise of Bad Idea AI underscores one of the key security issues that the Shiba Inu ecosystem is notably battling today.
The Bad Idea AI Compromise
According to the update from LucieSHIB, the Bad Idea AI’s Linktr.ee account has been compromised. She mentioned this because the protocol’s X account reposted an earlier jingle that detailed an impending giveaway sponsored by the Bad Idea AI team.
The original announcement from LucieSHIB was published on Monday and it detailed the primary of the giveaway, to reward loyal community members while promoting BAD. LucieSHIB suspected the Bad Idea AI’s X account after it promoted the giveaway, urging community members to enter its presumably fake Discord Channel.
Tomorrow, I’ll be announcing an incredible giveaway sponsored by @badideaai for our Christmas Spaces & for Discord OGs in Shibarium discord.
Grateful for the strong bond between these two communities. As a proud $BAD holder, my faith in them is unwavering, and I eagerly… pic.twitter.com/cT5iHnsVwg

To protect members of the community, LucieSHIB advised against clicking on any links and she also cautioned against connecting wallets unduly.
The Shiba Inu team labeled Bad Idea AI as a major partner and its value proposition borders on bridging the gap between blockchain innovation and the world of artificial intelligence. While it is an independent project, many community members link its long-term success to that of Shiba Inu.
Crypto Scams Taking Many Formats
Since the start of the year, the crypto ecosystem has recorded several scams taking different formats. One growing similarity in most of these scams is the deployment of AI to create deep fake videos and promotions to mimic personalities in the target ecosystem.
This deep fake scam model is rampant in the XRP ecosystem and different warnings have gone out from Ripple Executives to educate members of their ecosystem. Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson was also the subject of a fake AI video that was used to promote ADA as reported recently.
Considering the trend, scammers are not going anywhere for now and as such, crypto users need to step up to counter their fraudulent moves.
