Crypto Sleuths Struggle to Separate Legit Critics from Scammers: Huber

Crypto investigator Mr. Huber acknowledged the challenge crypto enthusiasts face in identifying honest critics after being misled by an account later revealed to be insincere.

One again you said it perfectly!📸 It’s actually tragic how much rational XRPL investors crave just some rational critical viewpoints. This craving is so great that they even praise the viewpoints from scammers in disguise. Now that you mention it, I get it: All those years of… https://t.co/QvNM0cWVuS

Huber had deleted an old tweet praising the now-suspended account @ScamDetective6. He explained that, despite initial doubts, he wanted to give them a second chance after some respected figures showed appreciation. However, Huber said the account ultimately proved to be an “obvious scammer” with no real interest in truthful analysis.

The conversation also continued when analyst WrathofKahneman replied to Huber’s comment tweet on the whole situation. He argued that this ends up undermining productive discussion rather than furthering it.

In response, Huber agreed it was “tragic” how starved XRP investors are for rational counterpoints after years of debunked fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD). This desperation causes them to praise arguments from questionable sources just because they appear logically sound.

Huber suggested the lack of honest critiques stems from baseless regulatory attacks, like the SEC’s ongoing lawsuit against Ripple. When even top officials promote speculative anti-crypto rhetoric, it becomes hard to find sincere, critical perspectives.

Fellow YouTuber MoonLambo echoed this sentiment, having identified ScamDetective6 as a scam long ago. Huber also questioned how one can find an honest, critical approach on Twitter.
