In the latest blow to the blockchain community, a series of high-profile NFTs have been stolen by a cunning imposter operating under the alias “Fake_Phishing187019” on the Blur network to stand as the second attack in over a week.

Second Attack On Blur

Last week, the community faced a similar crisis, as 185 CryptoPhunks and 7,304 Meebits were snatched in a phishing assault masterminded by “Fake Phishing187019” on the Blur network.

The recent incident mirrors the modus operandi of the criminal, who seems to specialize in targeting high-value NFTs. The victims of the previous heist, the original owners of the stolen CryptoPhunks and Meebits, continue to grapple with the aftermath of the theft. The rarity and uniqueness of these NFTs have only exacerbated the devastation felt by the affected individuals.

The assault, also reported by PeckShieldAlert, involves the utilization of various methods, including ERC2771, to compromise the security of NFT holdings.
